The Archbold Corporation began in 1923 when John F. “Jack” Archbold decided to donate, in its entirety, the financial resources to build John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville in memory of his father. Mr. Archbold and several local citizens started the Corporation so that community members and hospital supporters could be involved in decisions made about the hospital, including the election of board members.
Cumulative gifts of $300 and above constitute eligibility to become members of the Archbold Corporation. Eligible members are voted in by the Archbold Medical Center Board of Trustees and are thus considered lifetime members.
There are now over 1,300 members of the Corporation who meet every January to confirm the election of new Trustees and to receive news of Archbold Medical Center throughout the year. To learn more about how you can make a gift and become a Corporation member, please contact the Foundation office.
