A Pink Affair

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Archbold is taking full advantage of the opportunity to help spread awareness and have a little fun in the process. On Thursday, October 25th the Thomasville Center for the Arts will once again host the annual Pink Affair, a fashion show featuring cancer survivors as models.

All of the proceeds from this year’s Pink Affair will benefit Brave and Beautiful, a new patient program at the Singletary Oncology Center. Brave and Beautiful will focus on helping boost a positive self-image, and help patients manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. People battling cancer put on a brave face each day. With your help, we can give them the confidence to cope with their disease and treatments and restore hope and a sense of self.

The Brave and Beautiful program will offer free monthly sessions with a licensed cosmetologist at the Singletary Oncology Center. The program will provide assistance and beauty supplies to assist cancer patients who have experienced loss of hair, changes in skin appearance or other side effects of their treatment. Donations to this year’s Pink Affair will help support our goal of improving self-esteem and quality of life for those patients.

Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are available for the Pink Affair. For more information on sponsorships, contact the Archbold Foundation at (229) 228-2924.

Tickets will be available for purchase beginning October 1st.
